MISSION STATEMENT

REDEMPTION SONG INC.(dba)THE DRY DOCK IS A NON-PROFIT
ORGANIZATION PROVIDING A SAFE AND SOBER ENVIRONMENT TO THE
COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE, WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON THE
RECOVERY COMMUNITY.

OUR VISION

REDEMPTION SONG INC.ENVISIONS A FUTURE PROVIDING A SOBER
ALTERNATIVE TO THE COMMUNITY. FELLOWSHIP IS THE CORNERSTONE
OF RECOVERY. AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE AN OPEN HEART, MIND, AND
UNDERSTANDING OF RECOVERY AND ITS PITFALLS IS OPENLY SHARED.
WHERE LIVING A TWELVE STEP PROGRAM IS ENCOURAGED

ABOUT US

Redemption Song is a group of individuals in or familiar with recovery from
substance abuse. Our hope is to bring recovery out of basements and meeting halls, to
bring the message of hope and freedom from abuse to the community.

It has been our
experience that the fellowship we enjoy is a model to live by.
Lonely, full of fear, remorse, resentment and anger recovering individuals leave
rehabs, detox, and emergency rooms. We enter the community lost and afraid. Where do
I go? What do I do? Am I the only person that feels this way? How will I enjoy life
again without alcohol or drugs?
As an organization we do not claim to have the answers for all people, only the
suggestions we have taken to help keep us sober. We live in search of the little miracles
that we have been provided.

The kind words between a couple on the brink of separation or divorce. A hug
from children too long ignored. Advice on financial insecurities and perhaps a
suggestion on the next right thing to do. Help is so very hard for many of us to ask for,
but, the thing we need to do the most.

Redemption Song will provide a place, free of temptation to drink or use. A place
where we can enjoy food, drink, music. Where we can bring our friends and family to
dances, a Sunday brunch, or listen to a concert. Where we can sit in peace, or in laughter.
Where a vision of an open heart and an open mind is a living example. Where a belief in
peace, love and understanding is lived, not just lip service. Where we put up or shut up.
Recovery is gift that only sustains itself as it is shared 'the gift that keeps on
giving."

A Hymn by St Francis of Assisi:

Make me a channel of your peace:
where there is hatred let me bring your Love,
where there is injury, your pardon, Lord,
and where there's doubt, true faith in you:
O Master grant that I may never seek
so much to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand,
to be Loved, as to Love with all my soul!
Make me a channel of your peace:
where there's despair in life let me bring hope,
where there is darkness, only light,
and where there's sadness, ever joy:
Make me a channel of your peace:
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
in giving of ourselves that we receive,
and in dying that we're born to eternal life.
Make me a channel of your peace:
where there is hatred let me bring your Love,
where there is injury, your pardon, Lord,
and where there's doubt, true faith in you.
